Backstory :

Juniper Tree was born as a completely normal pegasus. He liked very much playing with his friends and cooking cakes, this is why one day, wanting to cook an apple pie, he decided to go at the apple chest, except that, it snapped shut and decapitated him. Being the son of the Headless Horse, he didn’t die. His mother, a pegasus, decided to knit a scarf for him and to put it around his neck, but, since, all his friends and other ponies were afraid. Then, he became alone, but he discovered that the animals, especially the birds, appreciated him. One day, a red bird was lost and injured, so Junpi (his nickname), took the bird in. Few days later, the bird willed to return at his home, but Juniper Tree didn’t know where it was. The bird who couldn’t fly, showed him the forest. Unfortunately, Junpi always feared the forest, but if the bird was showing him like that where he lived, then it probably wasn't dangerous.  He took the bird on his back and flitted at inside the forest. After a moment, the bird told him that they were arrived, and Junpi put him down, on a tree, in his nest. It’s then, his cutie mark appeared, which represent his talent to talk with birds and his overcome fear, thanks to the trust he gave to the bird.

Moonlit Scarf, his mother, being born blind, was so overprocted by her parents, who told that she wasn’t capable manage by herself, she decided, then, run away to show them of what she was capable, except that, obviously, she got lost, then she walked, alone, during several days, calling for help, in vain. It’s then that a pony appeared, he asked her what happened and he decided to take her back home. Moonlit Scarf knew nothing about him, he rarely talked, but as days passed, they learnt to know themselves. But the last day, when they arrived in front of her home when she asked his name, the pony didn’t answer, but he decided to confess everything. He told her he didn't have any other name than the Headless Horse, because, he was headless; then, he began to turn and leave, thinking that she would reject him. He heard a name, Tale Teller. He turned himself and saw Moonlit Scarf to flying toward him. She told him that she didn’t care that he had a head or not, all that she wanted was somepony kind, and she found him.
